除了畜牧业之外,宠物行业的发展对畜牧兽医的人才需要也越来越多。现代的宠物医院已经不再是仅有诊疗,宠物洗澡、宠物美容、宠物婚嫁等项目的发展,大大提高了宠物行业的利润,吸引着越来越多的人进入宠物行业,但是行业的门槛也就越来越高。
只要让学生了解了该专业的美好前景及良好的就业形势,学生学习畜牧兽医专业的兴趣自然就激发起来了。
二、应用现代教学手段,创新教学互动
多媒体应用到畜牧兽医教学上,不仅可以渲染教学气氛,更清晰的讲解教学重难点,提高学生学习能力,更重要的是可以激发学生学习兴趣。比如畜禽生产这门课程,在生产过程中用的到一些设备,像自动饮水器,现代化鸡舍等设备不在是板书或者是口头描述,而是将图片放到多媒体上,学生一目了然,每一张课件都做到图文并茂,让学生有身临其境的感受极大的提高了学生的学习兴趣。
三、联系实际,多例举学生日常遇到的案例
课堂教学中多列举案例,特别是用学生日常接触的事件来解释书中的知识点,让学生有一种恍然大悟的感觉,不仅可以激发学生学习兴趣还可以保证课堂效率。比如畜禽营养与饲料这门课程中的重点营养基础,动物的六大营养,人类一样需要,动物的缺乏症,人类也会出现类似的。通过引导学生自己或周围人群回想出现的症状来记住该营养物质的缺乏症。
四、改变教学形式,加强实训环节
这里说的实训环节不仅仅是技能考试大纲要求的那八个操作,更多的是日常课堂教学过程中动手环节。畜牧兽医专业是一门实践性专业,对学生的动手能力要求特别高,而且参加春考的学生都是比较好动的,动手能力较强的群体。课堂教学中更喜欢师生间互动而不是老实的坐着听课。比如兽医基础这门课程的重点临床诊断,临床诊断的操作手法不需要让学生死记硬背,而是带着他们去动手操作去,同学之间相互练,既活跃了课堂气氛又提高学生兴趣。
